Terms of Service

Last updated 6 October 2026

01About these terms

AltOne is provided by Nexority Infotech Private Limited (“we”, “us”), a company registered in India. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply when you create an account, join an organisation, or use AltOne through its website, its API or an integration such as a learning management system.

By creating an account or using AltOne you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use AltOne for an organisation, you confirm that you may accept these Terms on its behalf. If you do not agree, please do not use AltOne.

02What AltOne does

AltOne finds the images in your content (for example books, PDFs, EPUB files, Word and PowerPoint documents, web pages and course material), uses artificial intelligence to draft alternative text and long descriptions, lets your team review, correct and approve them, and can write approved text back into your files.

AI drafts can be wrong. Descriptions are suggestions until a person approves them. You are responsible for reviewing what AltOne produces before you publish it. Reports and checks in AltOne, including compliance reports, are aids to your own review; they are not a certification that your content meets any law or standard.

03Accounts and organisations

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account.
  • Give accurate details, keep your password safe, and tell us promptly if you think your account has been misused.
  • Work in AltOne belongs to an organisation. Its owners and administrators decide who can join, which roles people have, and what happens to the organisation’s projects. They can see and manage the content in it.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account and, as an owner, for the organisation’s use of AltOne.

04Your content

You keep all rights in the files, images and text you upload or import (“your content”) and in the descriptions AltOne produces for you. You give us a limited licence to store, copy and process your content only as needed to provide AltOne to you, including sending images and surrounding text to the AI providers listed in our Privacy Policy.

You confirm that you have the right to upload your content and to have it processed this way, and that it does not break any law or anyone else’s rights. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell it.

05Acceptable use

You must not:

  • upload unlawful content, malware, or material you have no right to use;
  • try to get around usage limits, token charges, access controls or security measures;
  • overload, probe or disrupt AltOne, or access it by automated means other than our API;
  • resell or share access to AltOne except as part of your own organisation’s use;
  • use AltOne to build a competing product, or to generate content that is harmful or misleading.

06Tokens, plans and payment

AltOne is paid for with tokens. One token describes one image; regenerating a description also uses one token. Tokens belong to the organisation that bought them. If a description fails to generate, its token is returned to the balance automatically.

You can buy tokens as a plan for a month or a year, or as a one-off pack. Prices are shown in Indian rupees before you pay. Goods and Services Tax (GST) is charged as the law requires and shown on your invoice. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we do not receive or store your card or bank details.

Tokens have no cash value and cannot be transferred between organisations. Refunds are covered by our Refund policy. We may change prices for future purchases; a change never affects tokens you have already bought.

07API and integrations

AltOne can connect to other services, such as learning management systems (through LTI 1.3), Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive, and can call your webhooks. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. Keep API keys and webhook secrets confidential; requests made with your keys count as yours.

08Availability and changes

We work to keep AltOne available and secure, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or improve features; if we remove something important that you pay for, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can.

09Suspension and closing your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Your data. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, does not pay, or puts AltOne or other people at risk. Where reasonable, we will warn you first.

When an account or organisation is closed, its content is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy. Download anything you need before you close it.

10Disclaimers and liability

To the extent the law allows, AltOne is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, including that the descriptions it drafts are accurate or complete or that your content will meet an accessibility standard.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, and our total liability for any claim relating to AltOne is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You will compensate us for losses caused by content you upload in breach of these Terms or by your breach of the law.

11Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be heard by the courts with jurisdiction over our registered office, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

12Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. We will show the date of the current version at the top of this page and, for significant changes, tell account owners by email or in AltOne before they take effect. This is version 2026-10-06.
