Images,put into words.
AltOne reads the images in your books, documents and courses, writes their alt text and long descriptions in your house style, and hands them to your reviewers. What they approve goes straight back into your files.
No card required
A chart, a diagram, a photograph. To a reader who can’t see it, an image without a description is a gap in the middle of the page. AltOne closes that gap for every image you publish, and keeps a person in charge of every word.
How it works
From upload to approved, in four steps.
Step 1: Bring in your content
Upload books and documents, pick files from Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive, add a web page, or open AltOne from a Canvas or Moodle course. Every image is found, with the heading, caption and text around it.
Step 2: AI drafts every description
Alt text for each image, and a long description where a chart or diagram needs one, written to your house style. Decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them.
Step 3: People review and approve
Reviewers see each draft beside its image with checks for length, wording and your glossary. They edit it, ask for another with an instruction, or approve it. Nothing is done until a person says so.
Step 4: Approved text goes back in
Download your PDF, EPUB, Word, PowerPoint or web pages with the descriptions written into them, send them back to the course, or fetch them through the API.
Product
Not a caption generator. A publishing workflow.
House style
Written the way your editors write.
Set tone, length, words to avoid, a glossary and written guidelines once for the organisation. Every draft follows them, so a thousand descriptions read like one author wrote them.
A generic caption Image of a chart showing revenue going up. (too vague)
With your house style Bar chart of third-quarter revenue rising from ₹12.4M in 2024 to ₹24.1M in 2025 and ₹38.6M in 2026.
